May Micro-Goals: How Setting ONE Goal at a Time Is Changing Everything πŸ’—

Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a beautiful start. I absolutely love warm, sunny weather β€” and today feels like the perfect day to share what's been happening with my May micro-goals.

πŸŽ‰ This Week's Win: The Driver's Safety Course β€” Done!

Goal Completed πŸ’—

I literally forced myself to sit down and power through the Driver's Safety Course until it was finished. It was painful, LOL β€” I felt SO much resistance. But I feel so incredibly relieved now that it's over. It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and space has opened up in my mind to focus on what's next!

This is exactly why the one-goal-at-a-time approach works. When you clear that one nagging thing from your mental to-do list, it creates so much room for everything else to flow.

πŸ“‹ Other Goals Progress This Week

  • Oracle Card Project: Received an invoice from my graphic designer β€” so exciting! Once I send in the 50% deposit, she can begin designing my 44 Oracle Cards. I also need to send her my wording for the cards.

  • Tiny House Journey: Meeting my realtor in person to begin the research phase of searching for land and/or a property. You have to start somewhere, right?

🎯 This Week's ONE Goal

"Call credit unions or small banks to ask about refinancing my car loan β€” with the goal of lowering my interest rate and decreasing my monthly payments."

Just one goal. That's all. Because small, focused action adds up to big results over time.

πŸ’— A Gentle Reminder About Carried-Over Goals

In writing my May micro-goals, I realized that a lot of these are goals I carried over from last month β€” and I just want to say: that's okay.

"Please do not beat yourself up for where you are in your journey. Rome was not built in a day. This journey of financial and entrepreneurial growth is a marathon, not a sprint."

Be incredibly gentle with yourself and enjoy the ride. 😊

🌿 Reflect With Me

  • What is that ONE nagging thing that's been on your to-do list for a while β€” the thing that would free up so much mental space if you just got it done?

  • Will you dedicate yourself to completing that ONE task this week?

  • How will you feel once it's done?

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What are micro-goals and why do they work?

Micro-goals are small, focused, and achievable targets β€” often just one per week. They work because they reduce overwhelm, build momentum, and create a sense of accomplishment that keeps you moving forward consistently.

How do I start an emergency fund from scratch?

Start small β€” even $5 or $10 counts. The key is opening a dedicated savings account and making your first contribution, no matter how small. Progress over perfection always wins.

What is a SIMPLE IRA and how do I start contributing?

A SIMPLE IRA is a retirement savings plan typically offered by small businesses. If your employer offers one, you can start contributing through payroll deductions β€” even a small percentage is a great start.

What are good side hustle ideas for women?

Some approachable options include craft fairs and handmade products, blogging, becoming a Loan Signing Agent, selling on Etsy, and creating digital products like oracle cards or planners.

How do I stay consistent with my goals when motivation fades?

Focus on just one goal at a time, celebrate small wins, and give yourself grace when you carry goals over from one month to the next. Consistency over time β€” not perfection β€” is what creates lasting change.
